FOOD PANTRY THANKSGIVING BASKETS ITEMS COLLECTION STARTS NOV. 2- Items needed to fill one basket: boxed mashed potatoes, stuffing mix, canned sweet potatoes, cranberries, gravy mix, pie crust mix and pumpkin pie mix. You may bring your donations to the church through Nov. 16. If you are interested in volunteering for a three hour shift at the Food Pantry on a Wednesday or Saturday morning, please contact Susan Webb at 913-671-2314.
YOUR PLACE AT THE TABLE: A SACRED CONCERT - A joyful celebration featuring music by The Village Choir, Chamber Choir and Alegriá at 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 2, in the Sanctuary. Communion will be shared. All are welcome. An offering will be collected benefitting The Village Food Pantry and Clothes Closet.
CHURCH WOMEN UNITED OF JOHNSON COUNTY "WORLD COMMUNITY DAY CELEBRATION NOV. 7 - Presbyterian Women of Village Church will host World Community Day Celebration at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 7, in Rooms 232-233. The theme is “Through God Our Hands Can Heal.” Judy Cooper and her sister Jane Smith will speak on the subject of “Human Trafficking.”

2014 MENEILLY CONFERENCE WITH AUTHOR ROBERT LUPTON NOV. 11 - Robert Lupton, author of three books about key issues of mission and charity facing the church today, will offer a morning workshop focused on “Non-toxic Mission Outreach." Cost is $10 a person and includes a continental breakfast and lunch. Copies of Lupton’s book, Toxic Charity, will be available for $10.
